CHENNAI: The Vedas are considered to be the origin of all knowledge. They are the source of earliest human alertness of the universe and are free of errors and unmatched in the religious history of India. None of the religious schools have ever rejected or ignored the Vedas as a reliable source of knowledge. They were written to simplify human life and were designed to preach goodness and love to people. But over the years, they were many who tried interpreting the Vedas in several ways and in the process, the true purpose of it faded into oblivion.To understand Vedas better, Shri Priyadarshiji Maharaj is going to brief his audience on the life of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu through his text, ‘Shri Chaitanya Charitamrit Varsha (Madhurya Mahakavya)’. Shri Chaitanya was a Vaishnava saint from the 16th century. Some consider him to be a blend of Radha and Krishna. He is known for his famous Siksastaka (eight verses of instruction) which contains a series of verses.Based on the text, a seven-day discourse has been organised from today at 5pm by Krishna Priyaji in Shri Shyam Mandir, Anna Nagar.
