BANGALORE: A verbal altercation between an advocate and a traffic sub-inspector resulted in traffic jam near the Visvesvaraya Towers on Ambedkar Veedhi, at around 4.30 pm on Monday.Advocate Venkata Muni Shetty went berserk after he found a clamp fixed to his SUV’s front right tyre by the traffic police. The advocate allegedly violated the traffic rule by parking his vehicle at a no-parking zone near the Towers.He allegedly started abusing the traffic police sub-inspector Lakshmi Narasimaiah, working with the Cubbon Park traffic police station, for fixing the clamp. On the other hand, the sub-inspector refused to remove the clamp unless the fine amount was paid. During this verbal exchange, movement of the traffic on Ambedkar Veedhi was affected for some time. Some advocates made a futile attempt to calm down Shetty. Later, the advocate paid the fine and moved the vehicle.
