Chennai: Hitting at the BJP yet again, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa said that the AIADMK is not a B team to the BJP. She reiterated her old stand that she is not supporting the Congress or the BJP after the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing an election meeting, Jaya attacked the BJP saying that their manifesto has no mention of the Cauvery river dispute issue, Mullaperiyar issue, fishermen's issue and Sri Lankan Tamil issue.
Jaya predicted that a non-Congress and non-BJP government will come to power at the Centre.
Straining every nerve to win all 39 Lok Sabha seats in the state to realise her ambition of playing a pivotal role in the next government, she has been asking the electorate to ensure that the candidates of DMK, Congress and BJP forfeited their deposit in all seats for their "betrayal" of the state on the vexed river water dispute with Karnataka.
"In Tamil Nadu, in any period, Congress and BJP cannot manage to come to power. If you want to resolve the Cauvery issue, voters in Tamil Nadu should not vote for BJP and Congress. You should ensure they lose they deposit in the election," she had said at a rally on Sunday.
