Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and former CM Mayawati have got into a war of words over the state government sponsored laptop distribution scheme.
While Mayawati tagetted the Samajwadi Party government saying that the scheme was aimed at diverting attention from poor governance, Akhilesh hit back saying that those who had problems with the law and order in Uttar Pradesh, should not visit the state.
The Chief Minister had in the morning distributed 2590 laptops in Lucknow University. Prior to the ceremony, the BSP supremo had said that the Akhilesh government was biased to the ‘Yadav’ community. She added that the members of other communities were being neglected.
To this, the young CM said that there was no favouritism in distributing laptops. “Political parties could not stand the achievements scaled by SP government and were hence using these tactics”, said Akhilesh. He lashed out at the former BSP government saying that it had only built idols in the name of development.
