After centering themselves in the cities like Ernakulam, Thriruvanthapuram and Shroanur, Mollywood film makers are currently looking for more fresher locales around the state. Alappuzha, the Venice of the east has suddenly captured interests once again with the recent films like Venicile Vyapaari. A number of new films are currently on shoot at various locales at Alappuzha district, particularly around Kuttanad.
The latest movie that has completed its shoot at Alappuzha is Lijin Jose's 'Friday' which also feature the son of the soil, Fahad fazil in the lead role. The movie is getting ready to grace the theatres for this Onam.
One new big budget affair on shooting at the beaches of the district is the Sathyan Anthikkad's new movie 'Oru Karyam Parayanundu'.The shoot for the movie featuring Nivin Poly, Niveda and Nedumudi Venu is currently progressing at Arthungal beach.
