Almora: An incident of a fresh landslide has been reported from Almora in Uttarakhand which has led to the caving in of the roads. Reports say that several roads have been washed away as well.

Meanwhile, rescue operations resumed in other parts of Uttarkahand on Thursday after the visibility improved. The Army has dropped 100 paratroopers into Gaurikund and the officials hope to rescue 500 more people from Kedarnath on Thursday.

The death toll in the Uttarakhand floods has risen to 150 and is set to rise as rescue teams reach more devastated sites. Over 60,000 people remain stranded with food and medical supplies running low. Rescue teams reach have reached the Kedarnath temple, the site of the biggest devastation sending out pictures of the sheer scale of destruction.
