There seems to be no end to incidents of civilians being targeted in the Sopore area of Jammu and Kashmir, with fourth such death being reported from the region.
A civilian was on Monday morning shot dead reportedly by some unidentified gunmen in Sopore area of the state. According to sources, the civilian was a former militant, and had been running his own business in the J&K town.
This is the fourth such incident in the past seven days. Another former militant was killed in a similar manner on Sunday as well.
Police suspect the hand of a recently-floated militant group behind the killing spree in the northern part of Jammu and Kashmir. Though they claim to have some clue regarding the incidents, there has been no action to put an end to these stray incidents of civilian killings.
