A fisherman from Thoppuvalasai here, was killed in a boat accident off the Dubai coast on Tuesday.

Murugesan (32), son of Muniyandi and Pushbam who hail from Thoppuvalasai near Periyapattinam, moved to Abu Dhabi 10 months ago. On Tuesday night, Murugesan, along with three others, including Ravi and Kuppusamy, were fishing in the sea off Dubai coast, when a fibre boat hit their boat.
