BANGALORE: Under the police modernisation scheme, the State Government has approved the establishment of Anti-human Trafficking unit and it has started functioning from Friday.City Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji said that the unit will be working under the supervision of city's Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) and the Central Crime Branch's DCP will be its nodal officer. "Its office is stationed at CCB and a few staff including a police inspector will be working," he said.Members of the public, who have got information about human trafficking, can pass on the message to Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar on 22942267, 22200904, 9480801010, DCP (Crime), D M Krishnamraju on 22942366, 22200912, 9480801016 and police inspector, Anand Kabboori on 22943416, 9480801562.Driver killedA 28yearold car driver was stabbed to death by his friends on Anganawadi School Road in Banaswadi police limits on Thursday night. The victim has been identified as Praveen Kumar, a resident of Chikka Banaswadi. Police said, the accused Naveen and William are behind the murder. The victim and the accused they had played cricket before the incident, the police added.
