HYDERABAD: IITians have trumped the Common Admission Test (CAT)2011 the results for which were released Wednesday morning. A total of nine aspirants scored the magic 100 percentile with Nellore resident Pennasami Sree Ramprasad, a student of Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar finding a spot at the top.
Nearly 1.85 lakh candidates appeared for the computerbased test held between October 22 and November 18 last year. Starting this year, the IITs will also screen candidates on the basis of CAT scores for admission to the postgraduate programme in management, instead of conducting a separate Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET).

The state's capital also had its own topper in B. Sekhar Anand who scored 99.99 percentile. "I hope to join either IIMAhmedabad or Kolkata. Since finance is what interests me the most, I would like to pursue a career as an investment banker," says a visibly happy Sekhar.
