BANGALORE:  Taking strong objection to granting anticipatory bail to the three accused in the second PU examination question paper leak case, the vacation bench of the High Court on Friday came down heavily on them for their involvement in the act.Terming the act as a serious threat to the future of students, Justice Kempanna dismissed the bail petition of the three, including Shashikala, who is said to have played a key role in the paper leaks. Counsel on behalf of them submitted that he would withdraw the bail applications.NIT-K Scam: Notices to CVC, CentreA vacation bench of the Karnataka High Court on Friday issued notices to the Central government, Central Vigilance Commission and the CBI in connection with the alleged misappropriation of funds in building a mega hostel at the National Institute of Technology-Karnataka (NIT-K), Surathkal.The petitioner Robert John D’Souza had stated in his plea in that the administrative officers of the institute had quoted rates above the tender. This was done without bringing it to the notice of the Central government.
