A Saturday morning saw Bangaloreans come out on streets in thousands in protest of the shocking incident taking place inside the school premises and that too in school hours.

Parents, meanwhile, maintain that they would not send their wards to school till Tuesday, the day when they meet the school management. They want adequate safety and security within the school including the students' transport.

With two staff members being accused of the crime, parents also demand a thorough background verification of teaching and non-teaching staff. Also, any violation of government mandated security guidelines should lead to de-recognition of the institution.

The incident came to light after the traumatized child reached home at around 1 PM on Monday and told her mother how an 'uncle' had befriended her, taken her out of school just as her classes were over and sexually assaulted her. She was allegedly assaulted when she came out of her class at around 11 AM on Monday.
