BJP MP eager to meet Sonia

TUMKUR: Though some members of former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa’s camp — especially of Congress origin — are not expected to return, they are reportedly eager to meet AICC chief Sonia Gandhi at the Siddaganga Mutt on Saturday.Lingayat leader and Tumkur MP G S Basavaraju, who switched to the BJP during the 2009 Lok Sabha polls, will meet Sonia, sources said. In fact, he had eagerly shared the dais with Union Minister for External Affairs S M Krishna a couple of months ago at a public function in Sira town, where he had rained praises on him, calling Krishna his political guru.
