New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu became the latest victim of Air India's poor management at the swanky T-3 terminal here recently when he lost his baggage in a Hyderabad-bound flight that was delayed by nearly an hour.
The incident occurred on November 11 when Naidu was on his way to Hyderabad, party sources said here today.
"First, Naidu's flight IC-601 was delayed by at least 40 minutes. Then, when he landed in Hyderabad, he found his baggage missing," the source said.
An infuriated Naidu called up Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel to complain about the lapses.
Following this, AI CMD Arvind Jadhav called up Naidu the next day and expressed regret about the incidents and also assured him of finding his baggage and belongings at the earliest.
However, four days have passed since this assurance but Naidu's baggage is yet to be traced and delivered to him, the BJP source said.
Complaints of flight delays, missing baggage and delay in its delivery has come from Indian and foreign passengers since the time the national carrier's domestic operations shifted from terminal 1-A to T-3 of the IGI Airport since October 31.
