Blood Donation Day on October 1

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the National Blood Donation Day on October 1, Terumo Penpol Limited, in association withAll-Kerala Blood Donors’ Society, Confederation of Indian Industry and International Institute for SocialEntrepreneurs, is organising a Blood Donation Day celebration. The function will be inaugurated by Transport Minister V S Sivakumar at 10 am at Vylopilli Samskrithi Bhavan on Saturday. C Padmakumar, chairman, CII (Trivandrum Zone), will make a presentation on voluntary blood donation. Terumo Penpol chairman Yoshiaki Shiarishi will give away the award to the winner of ‘Buddy for Life’ contest. A promotional movie related to voluntary blood donation will be screened at the function.
