BANGALORE: The organisers of the Bangalore International Film Festival (BIFFES) are going all out to ensure that their audience has no trouble commuting to the screenings. They have written to the state Transport Minister requesting for arrangements of shuttle services to ferry festival attendees from venue to venue. The organisers have proposed operation of mini buses which would run between the venues in order to facilitate movie-goers wishing to visit multiple venues. This would also help avoid a rush of private vehicles all around the city during the film festival the organizers feel. The festival is due to begin in the city from December 15 and the passes provided for the festival would enable entry to the venues and also use the shuttle services, if the proposal is sanctioned. The transport department however is yet to give a reply to the proposal. Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) officials are unaware of any requests yet.
