Kolkata: An anonymous phone call on Thursday sparked a security scare at the West Bengal state secretariat in Kolkata. The security operations are underway at the building that houses the offices of the state government.
The office of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is located at the top floor of the 15-storey building. The Trinamool Congress chief is reportedly inside the building.
Bomb-disposal squad and sniffer dogs have been called in for the search operations.
The search operations were launched reportedly after police received an anonymous phone call informing them of the possibility of a bomb being planted in the building.
