Browse through a variety of ethnic weaves at the ongoing Silks of India exhibition at P Madhavan Thampy Hall, Kesavadasapuram. The expo features the best silk and cotton products crafted by artisans across the country. Among the silks you will find the most exquisite ones like Bhagalpur tusser, eri, Jamawar tanchoi and kantha. From West Bengal are pure silk saris and Shantiniketan Kantha saris that are famous for their finesse and quality. You will also find matta silk, mulberry silk, curtains, salwar suits, hand block print khadi silk, zamdani saris, Banarasi brocade silk, chanderi silk and Maheswari silk.

Other than saris there is also a collection of kalamkari, Patola and Jaipur bedsheets, sofa covers, pillow covers and diwan sets from Rajasthan. Designer kurtis with Gujarati mirror work, Hyderabadi pearls and stone jewellery, patchitra paintings from Orissa, and Panipat door and window curtains are also on offer. The exhibition will wind up on August 5.
