HYDERABAD: Wondering why the CBI has chargesheeted IAS officers and let politicians off the hook in the Emaar Properties-APIIC scam case, the Telugu Desam has said the responsibility of officers in the case is only 25 per cent while that of politicians is 75 per cent. Talking with reporters here on Friday, party leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu alleged the CBI was sparing those close to the ruling party. It was unfair to target only officers and spare politicians, he said and wondered why not a single politician figured in the CBI charge-sheet.Alleging that Emaar MGF was a benami company of AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Naidu said that was the reason why the CBI spared Congress leaders.“Members of the family of KVP Ramachadra Rao, a close aide of ex-chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, have 18 villas in the Emaar Enclave, yet CBI has failed to include any of them in the charge-sheet. Is it not the responsibility of the CBI to include names of corrupt politicians?’’ he asked.
