He paid an advance of Rs 3.50 crore. But after receiving the sum, Jothimani neither executed the sale nor returned the money. Instead, he started threatening him. When he went to the principal owner, S Selvi, mother-in-law of Jothimani, he was attacked, the petition said.On September last, Nedumaran said, he lodged a complaint with the City Police Commissioner, who in turn forwarded it to the Deputy Commissioner and inspector, T Nagar. His complaint was left unattended.
