Chemistry quiz winners

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the Thiruvananthapuram district-level chemistry quiz  jointly organised by the Department of Chemistry, of the Mahatma Gandhi College and the Academy of Chemistry Teachers (ACT), Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom emerged champions. The winning team had two members, Ananthapadmanabhan G and Aravind M R.Two teams each from KV Pattom, Loyola School, St Thomas Residential School, Saraswathy Vidyalaya and Government HSS Venjaramood battled it out in the final round.  The Loyola team represented by Anandan M S and Sabari Vijay came second, while the team from Government HSS Venjaramood comprising Gokul Chandran J S and Harikrishnan S came third.The quiz programme was organised as part of the International Year of Chemistry celebrations with the financial support from the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Engineering. The prizes were distributed by ACT president G Rajeev at a function that was inaugurated by college principal Jayakumar.
