CMs nod for upgradation of 12 gram panchayats

HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday approved the upgradation of 12 gram panchayats as nagara panchayats and  Kodad gram panchayat in Nalgonda district as a municipality. The 12 gram panchayats to be upgraded are Gollaprolu, Ravulapalem and Mummidivaram in East Godavari district; S.Kota in Vizianagaram district; Banaganapalle and Gudur in Kurnool district; Alluru in Nellore district; Ieeza in Mahabubnagar district and Jammikunta, Vemulawada, Peddapally and Huzurabad in Karimnagar district.Meanwhile, the chief minister has also approved the proposal of the Director of Public Libraries to extend the scheme of compassionate appointments to the employees of zilla grandhalaya samsthas. He also approved the proposal for sanctioning 28 teaching and 52 non-teaching posts to JNTU College of Engineering at Pulivendula in Kadapa district. It will be placed before the council of ministers. Further, the chief minister gave his nod on the issue of Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Sub-ordinate Service Rules to include Teachers working in Tribal Welfare Educational Institutions as agreed by the AP Public Service Commission (APPSC).
