BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has warned that mismanagement of flood situation will have repercussions for the ruling BJD in the panchayat election slated for February next year.Criticising Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for visiting the flood-hit areas after Union Minister of State for Agriculture Harish Rawat did so, OPCC spokesman Arjya Kumar Gyanendra said he remained in Delhi when people needed him in the State.Gyanendra alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to take credit by distributing relief on party basis. He said Harish Rawat submitted his report on flood to the Centre on Tuesday.An inter-ministerial team would soon visit Orissa to take stock of the situation. Besides, a team from the Agriculture Ministry would visit the affected areas to assess crop loss, he added.Meanwhile, the death toll in the flood went up to 41 while the number of missing persons rose to 10.
