BANGALORE: The Congress asserted that development in the state has taken a backseat due to wrong administrative policies of the three year old BJP government. Addressing newsmen after attending a coordination committee meeting of the KPCC headed by party incharge Madhusudan Mistry, KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar said that the benefits of the welfare schemes of the Centre are not reaching their intended beneficiaries.Claiming that the Congress' statewide campaign, Congress Nadige Janara Balige has helped them gain knowledge on the ground reality of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa's tall talk on development, the KPCC president alleged: "There is no correlation between the CM's rhetoric and ground reality."
Parameshwar said that the the coordination committee meet was attended by senior state leaders, including Union Ministers S M Krishna, Mallikarjun Kharge and Veerappa Moily.
