Congress(S) rebels to hold 2-day conference

KALPETTA: The rebel group of Congress (S) which elected P M Joy as the new president of the party instead of Kadannappalli Ramachandran, at a function held in Kozhikode on May 29, is all set to organise a two-day state conference of the party on September 17 and September 18.Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, P M Joy said that the meeting would finalise an agenda for the organisation. “We have to decide the future course of the party on our own,” he said.It is expected that as many as 1,000 delegates from various districts would participate in the programme and a mammoth rally of 5,000 persons also would be organised.
