New Delhi: An 18-year-old dalit girl was allegedly raped at gunpoint in Basti in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday night. The girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Ranipur Beladi village in Uttar Pradesh.
The police have identified the accused as Satti Singh and a case has been registered in this connection.
The police have registered a case against two people and a manhunt for the accused has been launched.
Basti region DIG Gyan Singh said that a police team has been sent for investigation. He also said that the accused belonged to the same village as that of the victim.
