Dead pigs head creates flutter, 3 held

VELLORE: Tension prevailed in Vaniyambadi after the severed head of a pig was found in front of a shop on Monday. Three persons were arrested in this connection.Sources said, Pazhanivel (57) had rented out his four shops in Mohammed Ali Bazaar in Vaniyambadi. It is said that he had a dispute with one of his tenants over vacating the shop.Meanwhile, on Monday, one of the shopkeepers found the severed head of a pig in front of his shop. Enraged over this, he lodged a complaint against Pazhanivel with the Vaniyambadi town. Following this, Vaniyambadi police arrested Pazhanivel, and his accomplice Kennedy(40) and Mahendhran(42) of Mettupalayam.On Tuesday, over 100 policemen were deployed at the bazaar to handle the tense situation.Woman Jumps Before Train, DiesVELLORE: A woman, estimated to be around 25 years of age, jumped before a moving train and died near Mulakarampatti village near Jolarpet junction, on Monday. Sources said the woman was walking along the railway track and suddenly threw herself before the train. The reason behind the suicide is not known.  Jolarpet police have registered a case.
