Noida: Turner International, owners of brands like Cartoon Network and Pogo has announced plans to set up two theme parks near Delhi.

The total investment for the project will be around Rs 550 crore which will be done in conjunction with two other partners.

A Cartoon Network Ville will be set up in Noida, spread across 6.8 acres.

Planet Pogo will come up in Rohini and will be spread across 3.5 acres.

"We are setting up two world class next generation theme parks in Delhi. It is our endeavour to move beyond the television screen and provide a gift to the Indian children for their constant support," senior VP and general manager, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia, Ian Diamond said.

"While children see and enjoy their favourite characters on our channels, they will be able to actually see, touch and feel them in the parks," he added.

The two other partners in the project are Unitech Limited and the promoters of Delhi's Appughar IRPPL.

Both the parks will not only cater to the children but emerge as major tourist attractions, too.
