HYDERABAD: Deputy chief minister C Damodar Rajanarsimha on Saturday placed the problems being faced by the government and the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Telangana region, before Congress chief Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi.  He also met Congress core committee member Pranab Mukherjee and party president's political secretary Ahmed Patel to apprise them of the  situation in the state. He was in the national capital to express his gratitude to the party president for selecting him for the deputy chief minister post. He is expected to stay in the national capital for two more days.Talking to newsmen after meeting Sonia Gandhi for about 20 minutes, the deputy chief minister said that he had taken various issues and problems of the state government and the Congress to the notice of Congress president for necessary action. He, however, refused to divulge the issues and details that have transpired at the meeting.It is learnt that the Congress president had enquired about the prevailing political situation in Telangana region and the recent attacks on the Congress leaders who included ministers, MPs, MLAs and others who went to pay tributes to Jayashankar in Warangal.Damodar Rajanarsimha also met Union minister for social justice and empowerment Mukul Wasnik with a request to take steps for SC categorisation. In response, the Union minister said that the Centre was aware of the issue and was examining it.
