Directory of Voluntary Blood Donors released

BANGALORE: Lions Club of Bangalore, Sanjaynagar hosted the release of the eight edition of the Directory of Voluntary Blood Donors at the State Youth Centre, Yavanika on Sunday. IGP and Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Praveen Sood, released the book and congratulated the club for compiling the information on voluntary donors.The event hosted an informative session with Dr Shivaram from Manipal Hospital who clarified some myths about blood donation and answered a few questions from the audience.This was followed by a felicitation ceremony where regular blood donors were applauded.Lions Club also plans to distribute the directory to all blood banks in the city.Meanwhile, Alphonse Kurian, Member, Lions Club of Bangalore, said that while the directory is being distributed, blood banks could refer to the website which has been updated with all the contacts of donors.
