Vadodara (Gujrat):The police is yet to detain and interrogate Dr Jagdish Pankhi over the death of two minor boys, whose bodies were recovered from his car in Dabhoi town last Thursday.

Special Inspector General of police Rakesh Asthana told that they were yet to get hold of VHP activist Jagdish Pankhi. He had left his home along with his family following the incident.

Asthana added that police was probing all angles related to the case.

The kids, Taha Belim aged seven and Salman Sheikh aged five were found dead and locked inside the boot of Pankhi’s car after they had gone to attend a wedding ceremony.

Police officials are also investigating the case with forensic experts.

Though initially it appeared that the boys were murdered and dumped in the doctor's car, investigating officials are also probing the possibility of asphyxiation or poisoning as

the car bore no signs of forced entry or signs of struggle, Asthana said.

"None of the boys had any injury marks on their bodies," he added.

Tension had gripped the town after the bodies were found from the boot of the doctors car, however police had rushed to the spot and prevented any untoward incident.
