Drunkard stabs Tamil worker to death

TRIPUNITHURA: A native of Tamil Nadu was stabbed to death by his neighbour in an inebriated state here on Saturday night.  The deceased is Bhaskara Raman, 48, Ullakadai, Papanasham, Thanjore, who has been working as a mason in Kochi for the last 18 years. The police said he was stabbed to death by Antony, 32, who hails from Arayalloor in Trichy.Both of them were living in the lanes beneath the Railway Overbridge.  On Saturday night, Antony is said to have created a ruckus after consuming alcohol. Bhaskara Raman questioned this after which an infuriated Antony stabbed him with a knife. Though the people living in the next rooms rushed  Bhaskara Raman to a nearby hospital, his life could not be saved.Antony, who fled the scene after the incident, was later arrested by the Tripunithura police from near the Makaliyam temple.
