An eight-year-old girl was killed in an attack by a leopard near Katarniaghat wildlife sanctuary in Bahraich, forest department officials said on Monday.
Reshma was attacked by a leopard while she was sleeping in the courtyard of her house on Sunday located on the outskirts of the Katarniaghat sanctuary, 85 kilometres from Bahraich, they said.
The body was later recovered from the forest, the officials added.
