Elders Week: Mass run held

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of ‘Vayojana Mahatmyam’ organised by Kerala Social Security Mission and Health Students’ Forum under Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences to observe Elders’ Week, a mass run was held in the city on Friday morning.  The run, which was inaugurated by Mayor K Chandrika, began from Kowdiar square and ended at Vellayambalam. The old and the young participated in the mass run. As part of the programme, the inmates of Old Age home in the city were taken for an outing to Shangumugham. Eye camps, painting competition, sports meet and seminar were also held as part of the event.
