Eminem clone held for NRI murder
A fan of US rapper Eminem has admitted murdering the woman who idolised him and stuffing her in a suitcase.

London: An Eminem impersonator, Christopher Duncan, has been jailed for the brutual killing of an NRI law student, Jagdip Najran.

The 21-year-old, had the same tattoos as the rap star and had been performing his songs at a karaoke bar in London on the night of 13 May, 2004.

Najran, 26, who had met him only two weeks before, left the bar with him, only to be battered over the head with an iron bat at his flat. He then stuffed her half-dressed in a suitcase and tried to dispose the body.

Najran, who was in her final year at London Metropolitan University, died from head injuries, but the court was told that she had survived for at least an hour in the suitcase, found after Duncan fled to Blackpool where he was arrested.

The incident has similarities to the video of Eminem's most famous song, Stan, in which the narrator ties up his girlfriend and bundles her into his car boot.

Duncan is a petty criminal and an alcoholic. He also took drugs and is said to have a personality disorder.

He is in police custody and will be sentenced for Najran's murder on Monday.

Duncan is also accused of the murder of Margaret Muller, a prize winning American artist who was stabbed while she was jogging in a park in East London in February 2003.
