New Delhi: Michael Jackson's personal possessions go on display at the Hard Rock Cafe, its a battle of the 0O7's and Jade Goody's rags-to-riches story is all set to be turned into a film.
SEAN CONNERY, THE FAVOURITE BOND
Fans of the James Bond series have voted vetern Sean Connery as their favourite actor to have essayed the role of the British Secret Service agent, according to a recent survey. The survey was conducted by hmv.com and social networking site getcloser.com to mark the DVD and Blu-ray release of the latest Bond flick Quantum of Solace. With his leisurely smile, deadpan wit and impassive manner Connery is still considered by 45 per cent voters to be the definitive screen James Bond. The current 007 Daniel Craig came second with 22 per cent votes in his favour. Craig's predecessor Pierce Brosnan came in third with 15 per cent votes. Roger Moore came in fourth and Timothy Dalton rounded off the top five.
MICHAEL JACKSON AUCTION
Many of Michael Jackson's iconic outfits are on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York ahead of a planned auction of the pop legend's possessions. Around 2,000 items taken from Jackson's Neverland Ranch are scheduled to be sold in a televised auction in April. So up for sale in the epic Jackson auction are crystal encrusted gloves, a silver and white jacket worn during the Victory tour, and a lot of other accessories including a crown, a hat with his name on it and a robe. Guess Jacko's will be planning on a new wardrobe.
JADE GOODY
Reality TV star Jade Goody's life is all set to be turned into a film. According to reports, the proposal has been put forth by one of the trustees of her estate and close friend Danny Hayward. Tentatively titled Catch a Falling Star, the film will attempt to trace her rags-to-riches journey. The film will also raise awareness about cervical cancer which led to the 27-year-old's death on Sunday. Her family is keen on roping in Nick Love, the director of The Football Factory for the project.
