Five fake naxals held, Maoist dump unearthed

NALGONDA: A fake Naxal gang was arrested and a Maoist dump was recovered from the outskirts of Kasarajupally in Chandampet mandal on Saturday.  Producing the fake Naxal gang before mediapersons here, SP Naveen Gulati said that special party police, involved in combing operations, found five persons with olive green uniforms and a weapon on the outskirts of Kasarajupally.Suspecting them to be Maoists, police warned them  to surrender but they tried to run away. However, police chased and caught them.During interrogation, the gang members said  they had decided to extort money from businessmen and contractors in the name of Naxals after finding the arms dump near Kasarajupally. "Accordingly, they bought olive green uniforms and started moving posing themselves as Naxals," the SP said.
