Maharashtra: Despite the Shiv Sena's protest against the three-day visit of former Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri to launch his book, the programme took place as scheduled amidst a heavy security cover. Kasuri launched his memoir, Neither a Hawk nor a Dove: An Insider’s Account of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy in Mumbai.

Hours after his face was blackened by Shiv Sena workers, the event's organiser Sudheendra Kulkarni said core values of tolerance cannot be trampled on by any organisation. An adamant Shiv Sena says it will continue such attacks till the time Pakistan is honoured in India.

Earlier on Monday, some Sena activists had smeared black paint of the face of former BJP leader Sudheendra Kulkarni, who is at present the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) chief, for his refusal to cancel the Kasuri's book launch function.
