Four killed in blast in Manipur

Imphal: At least four persons including a student were killed and some others injured when a powerful bomb exploded at a place in Imphal West district of Manipur on Monday, official sources said.

Suspected militants tied the bomb with a two wheeler and it exploded at around 2 pm near an educational institution killing four persons on the spot.

Some injured were admitted to hospital.

Police from nearby places rushed to the spot and conducted enquiry, sources said.

No group has claimed responsibility so far.
