BANGALORE: The first ever football match at the Bangalore Central Prison organised by the Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation in Association with Central Prison Ministry has inducted a successful sports module called Invisible Talent for children and youth in the various prisons for different reasons.This is a customised and first of its kind sports program in the country conceptualized and organized for children and youth in prisons to unleash the hidden talents, recognizing the reality to foster healthy childhood and youth development, breaking down barriers, building self esteem, confidence and healthy behavior, a holistic approach to educate and balance between various aspects, with sports and healthy lifestyle being one of them.The foundation has a strong community focus and is committed to promote sports, physical activity and improving the health levels of our children and our society at large identifying & grooming potential talents thorough sports as a medium of transformation.The match at the Parapanna Aghara central prison was the first of its kind.It was played between Emmanuel Team consisting of prisoners ,and the Rangers FC which the former won 3-2.In align with the vision the herculean tasks taken by the Foundation with the support of Lakshminaryan, Chief Superintendent Bangalore Central Prison, who welcomed such innovate approaches for the development of youth in prisons, Sis Adele, Coordinator of the ministry who has been the backbone behind this noble cause impacting the lives of children and youth and families of prisoners and Aida D’Cunha, state coordinator, who initiated this project and intends to take it to all prisons in Karnataka.
