New Delhi: Samsung has announced the launch of its new smartphone with a specialised camera, the Samsung Galaxy K zoom, in India. It is claimed to be a camera specialised smartphone that offers the control and functionality of a professional camera. The Galaxy K zoom is equipped with new retracting lens technology which provides 10x optical zoom. The phone has a 20.7 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor.

According to Samsung, its camera excels in low-light conditions and provides Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) to reduce blur caused by movement. It has aXenon Flash provides a brighter light than LEDs.

The Galaxy K zoom smartphone has a 4.8-inch HD super AMOLED touchscreen, hexacore processor, and runs Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory, which is expandable upto 64GB.

Targeted towards a generation addicted to selfies, it Selfie Alarm feature allows users to take timed selfies with additional framing options.

The Galaxy K zoom is available in India starting July 9 on www.amazon.in. The new smartphone comes in three colour options - Charcoal Black, Electric Blue, and Shimmery White.
