New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday said the government is in discussion with the opposition for a special Parliament session on Goods and Service Tax (GST) Bill which couldn't get through Rajya Sabha during the Monsoon Session.

"We have had extensive discussions with the Congress on the GST Bill," Jaitley said in an exclusive interview to Network18.

Stressing on administrative reforms Jaitley said objections rasied by Congress are sustainable .

Speaking on the issue of Land Acquisition Bill, Jaitley termed it as "one of the worst drafted legislations in India" adding that the it needs a serious relook. "All the CMs want have asked for changes to the 2013 Bill," he said.

The Centre had on Tuesday indicated it may go in for promulgation of the Land Ordinance for a record fourth time to maintain its "continuity" as there is no possibility of the passage of a bill in Parliament to replace it before August 31 when the executive measure expires. Congress had opposed the ordinances promulgated by the Centre.

When questioned about the long standing One Rank One Pension protests by the ex-servicemen, Jaitley asserted that government is committed to their cause and differences have narrowed down significantly. "Implementation of OROP has to be based on some principles," said Jaitley.
