Senior BJP leader L K Advani’s mention about the bungling in the state unit of the party in his blog has fuelled a war of words between former chief ministers B S Yeddyurappa and D V Sadnanad Gowda.
Yeddyurappa, who visited the party office here at Malleshwaram on Tuesday, took a serious exception to Gowda endorsing Advani’s views and warned him to be cautious while making any statement.
Echoing Advani’s views Gowda had said that the image of the party and its first government in Karnataka was dented due to the corruption and illegal de-notification charges.
“Gowda being the former Chief Minister should be cautious and specific in making such statements. I heard that Advani had praised Gowda’s 11-month administration. But his (Gowda) yesterday (Monday’s) statement makes one to suspect his administration,” Yeddyurappa said adding that he would soon talk to Gowda in this regard.
