BANGALORE: The city received a heavy rainfall on Saturday evening. The rain led to traffic snarls, waterlogging, flooded roads and homes and other problems in some parts.
Water logging was reported from Kamakshipalya, Indiranagar, Uttarahalli, Koramangala, Padmanabhanagar, Kumara Swamy Layout, Banashankari, Jeevanahalli and other areas. A tree fell in Malleswaram and a vehicle was reportedly damaged.Traffic came to a halt at K R Puram, Outer Ring Road, Majestic area and slow movement of vehicles was reported from Bannerghatta Road, Old Airport Road, K G Road, M G Road, Okalipuram Main Road, Malleswaram and Old Madras Road.

C V Raman Nagar was one among the many places which was affected by rain water. "Most of the roads were flooded and there was a bumpertobumper traffic even on inner roads. Commuters were stuck. If it continues raining, the situation will get worse," Sridhar Murthy, a resident of C V Raman Nagar said.

Bangalore Urban is expected to receive an average rainfall of 464.4 mm in the four month, according to the department.
