The police have lodged an FIR in this regard and efforts are on to nab the accused.
Sambhal: In a suspected case of honour killing, a woman was shot dead allegedly by her brothers in the district after she married against her family's wishes, the police said on Sunday. Ruby, 25, was killed by Nasir and Zakir on Saturday evening in Mahmood Khan Sarai locality.
Her husband Tahir, who was also present on the spot, managed to escape. The police have lodged an FIR in this regard and efforts are on to nab the accused.
