THIRUVANATHAPURAM: The district has reasons to cheer about over the higher secondary examinations, the results of which were announced on Friday. St Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, with 693 students, is the school to present the highest number of candidates for the examinations in the State. The pass percentage for the school is 90.47.The city also has the school that sent the second largest number of students. Government HSS for Girls, Cotton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram, had 591 candidates for the higher secondary examinations. The pass percentage for the school is 93.23. SVHSS, Palemed, Malappuram, sent the third highest number of students - 548. The school has a pass percentage of 85.94.St Mary’s School, which has 56 students with A+ in all subjects, is second to only Vivekodayam School, Thrissur, with 57 students, above it in this category. St Joseph’s AIGHSS, Kozhikode, with 54 students with A+ in all subjects is behind St Mary’s School.Also read: Record pass percentage in HSC exams
