Hyderabad: Five days after Infosys techie Neelima Yeruva’s death under suspicious circumstances, the Cyberabad police on Sunday declared Neelima as having committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of the 15-storey multi-level parking lot. The police, however, are still trying to break the password of Neelima’s Facebook account as part of their investigation.
After accessing information by cracking the passwords of Neelima’s mobile phone and email accounts, the police have come to the conclusion that she has committed suicide, investigation, though, is on for evidence to shed more light on the cause of her death. The medical reports also pointed to the possibility of Neelima committing suicide. “The reports revealed that Neelima committed suicide. We will break the password of the victim’s Facebook account to get more information,” said Rayadurgam sub-inspector K Rajendra.
Before Neelima’s death, there were 130 members in her Facebook friends list, including two family members - cousin Bhaskar Mekala and sister Sunitha Reddy. Soon after Neelima’s death, 27 members “unfriended” from her account.
Neelima, who worked on a project at Tampa, Florida in the USA, returned to the city on July 22. She went to Infosys campus located at Nankramguda in Gachibowli on July 31. She was found dead at the parking lot.
Neelima did her intermediate course in Nalanda Junior College in Visakhapatnam and master’s course in Engineering in Shadan Women’s college of Engineering and Technology here. She joined Infosys in 2006 and got married to Boyapati Suresh in 2009. She went to Florida on a project work in 2011.
