New Delhi: The seeded players had a tough time at the Hypo Group International tournament in Austria on Monday with Andy Roddick and Ivan Ljubicic struggling to enter the second round.
Second-seeded Roddick took on Alexander Peya of Austria in the first round and though he won the first set easily but had a bit of trouble in the second.
Roddick finally won the match defeating the unseeded Austrian 6-4, 7-5.
"I think I was the lucky one in the end because he had set points in both sets. He was serving on both set points and I think I was just a little bit calmer on those difficult moments," Roddick said after the match.
Ivan Ljubicic, who has not had a good year so far also progressed to the next round but had to sweat it out against Amer Delic of USA to win his first round match 7-6 (7), 7-6 (8).
