Chandigarh: A lady medical officer with the Air Force has been found guilty of abetting the suicide of her junior who had accused her of harassment. Squadron Leader Dr Priya Jairaj.

Jairaj was tried on the charge of abetment of suicide under the provisions of the Air Force Act and the Indian Penal Code by a general court martial (GCM), will lose two years of seniority, a senior Air Force official of the 12th Wing said on Thursday.

The officer had also been posted to Bangalore, the official added.

Police had recovered a suicide note from him in which he had accused his superior officer Jairaj of harassment, officials said.
