IAS officer Tina Dabi who had earlier hit headlines for topping the UPSC Civil Service Examination in her first attempt in 2015, has now been posted 150 kilometer away from her husband’s posting location.
The Rajasthan government made a major administrative reshuffle in the state by transferring 102 officers. Tina Dabi has been posted as the Barmer district collector. Her husband Pradeep Gawande has been given the responsibility of Jalore district.
Pragya Kewalraman has been given the additional charge of Banswara Udaipur divisional commissioner while IAS Jitendra Soni has been given the additional charge of Dudu and Jaipur Rural district.
Tina Dabi was serving as the Commissioner of the Employment Guarantee Scheme Department in Jaipur. She has been in the headlines on several occasions before, starting from topping the UPSC exam to her marriage and divorce. After the divorce, she has married IAS officer Pradeep Gawande.
Tina Dabi has earlier been the Collector of Jaisalmer district. In July, she took maternity leave, after which Ashish Gupta of 2013 batch was given the responsibility of being the collector in the district. After leaving the district, Tina Dabi wrote an emotional post and thanked all the staff.
After taking maternity leave, she had sought non-field posting from the state government, after which she got posted as Commissioner of Employment Guarantee Scheme in Jaipur. Tina Dabi’s sister, Riya Dabi, who cracked UPSC in 2020, is also an IAS officer.
